The Arcadia Health Centre
The clinic is conducted according to the philosophy
of Natural Hygiene that emphasizes the importance of lifestyle
as a key factor in the maintenance and recovery of health.
 The
Arcadia Health Centre is the first and only clinic practicing Natural
Hygiene in Australia which is conducted by licensed and certified
members of the International Association of Hygienic Physicians
(established in 1961).
Our procedures include, fasting, diet,
activity, rest, environment, psychological and emotional influences,
and are designed to remove the known and obvious causes of disease
and provide the person with the requisites of health. These are
applied to meet the specific needs of the individual.
The Centre
receives patients from all over the world; many from the U.S.A.
and Europe. The following are the most common ailments for which we
are consulted, allergies, asthma, arthritis, cardiovascular problems,
especially hypertension, chronic fatigue syndrome or M.E. (Myalgic
Encephalomyeitis), colitis, ulcers and other digestive problems,
obesity and eating disorders, migraine and other headaches, insomnia
and nervous disturbances.
Our techniques have been employed continuously, in various clinics and
institutions around the world, since the development of hygiene in the
19th Century. Modern science has now validated the principles and
teachings and extensive documentation exists to support the
practice.
The recovery of health demands both skilful
care and a conducive environment. The care at Arcadia Health Centre is
supervised by professionals specifically trained in the appropriate
disciplines necessary to apply the principles of Hygiene.
The environment is quiet, peaceful, scenic and unpolluted. It
provides a haven for rest of body, mind and senses.
A significant distinguishing feature of our care is the emphasis on
the treatment of the individual patient, not the disease.
If many people have the same disease (diagnosis), all will have needs
and capacities peculiar to themselves. The focus of Hygienic
care is on the individual, we do not attempt to force the
individual into the system but to adapt the system to the individual
requirements.
Currently, Arcadia Health Centre is one of the few clinics in the
world recognized as a teaching institution for graduate doctors
by the International Association of Professional Hygienists Inc.,
Youngstown, Ohio, U.S.A.
Private Health funds will refund on consultations only, this varies
from fund to fund. Our policy is to give separate receipts for the
daily consultations, these can then be submitted to the insurance
company for refund. Medicare does not cover at all.
